In 2017, Jordan Peele gave us the psychological, horror-thiller,  “Get Out.” The film seamlessly blends horror, satire, and social commentary and left us on the edge of our seats for 104 minutes.  We were captivated by its ingenious plot, which delves into the unnerving experiences of Chris, a young African-American man visiting his white girlfriend’s well-to-do family.

Peele masterfully uses suspense and psychological horror to explore deep-seated racial tensions, making the film not only terrifying but also profoundly thought-provoking. The main character, Daniel Kaluuya, received his first Academy Award, BAFTA, Golden Globe, SAG, and Critics’ Choice Award nominations for his brilliant portrayal of Chris.  The film’s clever use of symbolism, its unexpected twists, and its biting humor make it a standout in the horror genre. “Get Out” is not just a movie; it’s a cultural phenomenon that challenges viewers to confront uncomfortable truths about society, making it a must-watch for any film enthusiast.

Here is a look at the official U.S. and Japanese posters for Jordan Peele’s “Get Out” followed by this week’s hand-picked alternative movie posters.
