In 2013, video game developer, Naughty Dog, released an action-adventure game that would go on to become a global sensation.  That game was “The Last of Us”  Colin Moriarty of IGN called The Last of Us “a masterpiece” and Edge considered it “the most riveting, emotionally resonant story-driven epic” of the console generation.  With reviews like that, (and there were a plethora of them) it was only a matter of time until someone gave it the live-action platform it deserved.

Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckman, the game’s co-creator, along with director Craig Mazin brought the post-apocalyptic drama to Max and the end result was riveting, must-see TV.  The 9 episode series told the story of Joel and Ellie who are traveling across a fungal infected country as they try to avoid zombie-esque creatures who are trying to infect the uninfected, and doing a damn good/ horrific job at it. (It ain’t pretty folks.)

Massachusetts artist Greg Ruth embarked on a series of drawings, inspired by each episode of the Neil Druckman/Craig Mazen/HBO adaptation of THE LAST OF US. Each piece measures roughly 13″x 13″ and was executed with graphite on paper and as you will see, they ARE creepy beautiful.  He calls the series, “One Worth Saving.”
