This December we’ll be saying, “Ho-Ho-Ho…NOS-FER-A-TU!” From the brilliant mind of director Robert Eggers, (The Lighthouse, The Witch, The Northman), comes a horrific re-imagining of the 1920’s vampire tale, “Nosferatu.” “Nosferatu” is a gothic tale of obsession between a haunted young woman and the morbid/ terrifying vampire that is infatuated with her.

The woman Count Orlok obsesses over is Ellen Hunter, played by Lily-Rose Depp, and his unrelenting obsession with her leaves untold horrors in it’s wake. Director Eggers recently spoke to Total Film about Bill Skarsgård’s transformation into the horrifying Count Orlok. “There are things that are Schreck-like but I felt we had to do something else. Basically I was like, ‘What would a dead Transylvanian nobleman actually look like for real?’ Bill lost a tremendous amount of weight. He’s so transformed in every aspect that I don’t know if people will give him the credit. You can see Bill [as Pennywise] in the ‘It’ make-up; you can’t detect any Bill here. He worked with an opera coach to lower his voice an octave. I think people are going to think we treated it digitally, but that’s his performance.”

When Skarsgård spoke to ‘Esquire‘ about the role of Count Orlok, he had this to say. “It was like conjuring pure evil. It took a while for me to shake off the demon that had been conjured inside of me.”

Nosferatu” touts a fantastic cast that includes Nicholas Hoult as Thomas Hutter, Lily-Rose Depp as Ellen Hutter, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Friedrich Harding( or as we now call him ‘Kraven The Hunter‘), Emma Corrin as Ann Harding, Willem Dafoe as Professor Albin Eberhart and Ralph Ineson (or as we refer to him now, ‘Galactus’) as Dr. Wilhelm Sievers.

‘Nosferatu’ creeps into theaters on the perfect day, December 25, 2024 in the US. We can’t WAIT for this one and it will most likely become our new favorite holiday classic. Let us know what you think down below in the comments.
